If you watch his appearance on the Shawn Ryan Show where he explains his origin of reporting on the cartels, he gives away that he is compromised by them. In fact, anyone who reports on them pretty much is. Otherwise Mexico wouldn’t be one of the most dangerous countries in the world for journalists.

Fantastic interview! I have also been a Costner fan for YEARS, and I appreciate the insights and transparency that both he and Andy shared.
